G.E.C will supply and change all your existing 12v Halogen down lights for 6w non-dimmable LED's for free. This is possible because of a Victorian Energy Saver Incentive. This is free in Melbourne metro area! Regional areas covered but group bookings required. We only use A grade electricians to carry out the change over.
This offer is for a limited period. Halogen down lights produce over 200 degrees of heat which has been linked to house fires. The LEDs we use produce around a quarter of the heat. Note: The 12v LEDs that we use are not compatible with dimmer switches. We can only install the LEDs when the dimmer switch is disconnected.

I have used GEC Electrical for around 5 years in my business, I have found all of their engineers to be professional, polite, capable and knowledgeable. In addition when I have had electrical emergencies they have always done their very best to get to me ASAP, including Sunday morning! Rob who arranges the engineers is very flexible and helpful - as we can only have guys on site for very specific time frames. All in all I definitely would recommend them.

Finally I have found electricians that are reliable, competitively priced, are happy to do jobs big or small, and are flexible enough to work with changing circumstances (especially on big jobs). I've used GEC Electrical for domestic works - rewiring lighting circuits, periodic inspection, new distribution board, new circuits and additions to existing circuits (sockets, electric shower, extractor fan, additional lights etc.) and most recently for a burglar alarm. As long as they keep this up, I won't ever need to look elsewhere!
